24 Hours After, IPMAN Suspends Filling Stations Shutdown
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has called off the suspension notice earlier sent to its members to discontinue the sale of petrol and shut all filling stations across the country.
The association said the suspension order followed an amicable resolution of the issues in contention.
In a report on Tuesday, LEADERSHIP Newspaper said the association confirmed that the issues had been resolved, hence a new directive to its members to resume operations.
The spokesman of the IPMAN office in Maiduguri, Borno State, where the suspension notice emanated from, Abdulkadir Mustapha, told LEADERSHIP on Tuesday via telephone, “Yes, the suspension notice is confirmed as genuine but we have already resolved the issue and directed all the members to start dispensing fuel since an hour ago.”
