As a news organisation, The Harmattan exists to uphold, defend and promote the inalienable and fundamental right of everyone to freedom of opinion and expression as enshrined in Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In pursuits of this, the editorial policies of The Harmattan will be guided and guarded by the attainment of the ethical standard of publishing news, facts and opinions objectively, truthfully, accurately and fairly in the advancement of public interest in all spheres of life, without compromise.
