28 Dead, Several Injured As Bandits Raid Southern Kaduna Villages

Twenty eights villagers have been reportedly killed as several were injured after gunmen attacked Malagum 1 and Sokwong communities in Gworok Chiefdom of Kaura Local Government Area in Kaduna state.
Raymond Ibrahim, Secretary of Kaura LG, Raymond Ibrahim revealed that the invaders first stormed the Sakwong community around 11:58 pm, killed nine people and burnt down houses and properties.
“We went to the scene this morning and we saw nine corpses with our eyes. From there we went to Malagum 1 where we confirmed from genuine sources that 19 people were also killed there,” he said.
Ibrahim said the attack is coming barely five days after Malagum 1 was attacked and four people were killed.
He urged the locals to remain calm, while calling on the government to come to the aid of their people as many of them have been rendered homeless.
