5 Guber Candidates Endorse Fintriri’s Re-election Bid

The re-election bid of Ahmadu Finitiri, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa has received a fresh boost following his endorsement by five candidates.

The governorship candidates announced their decision on Monday when they paid a visit to the PDP candidate.

The governorship candidates asked their supporters to vote for Fintiri on March 18, adding that their decision resulted from consultations among stakeholders and supporters.

The candidates are Bello Babajo of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Yahaya Chulde of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Emannuel John-Yerima of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), Ambrose Zenith of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) and Babagana Furo of the African Democratic Party (ADC).

Speaking on behalf of the candidates, Bello Babajo said their resolve to support Fintiri is a result of his result-oriented administration.

“Our resolve to join the result-oriented administration of Fintiri is a call to service of humanity and we will support him to emerge victorious at the election,” NAN quoted him as saying.

Fintiri, in his remarks, thanked the candidates for their support and assured them that “they will not regret their actions”.

He urged them to call on their supporters to turn out en masse and vote for the PDP.

Fintiri is seeking another term in office after defeating then-incumbent Bindo Jibrilla of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to become governor of the state in 2019.
