EKITI GOVERNOR EMPHASIZES SECURITY AND DEVELOPMENT AT LOCAL LEVEL

The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to security and development at the grassroots level. In a meeting with Chairmen of Local Government Councils and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), the governor emphasized that security is non-negotiable and urged local leaders to take ownership of security in their areas.

Oyebanji called on the chairmen to collaborate with traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups, and security agencies to ensure the protection of lives and property. He stressed that sustaining peace is crucial for development and urged the local leaders to focus on impactful projects that meet the needs of their people.

The governor also emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in managing public resources, stating that trust grows when the welfare of the people is prioritized. He assured that Ekiti remains safe and expressed confidence that together, the state and local governments can strengthen security and deliver meaningful development.

The meeting was aimed at reinforcing the governor’s vision for grassroots development and security, and the chairmen were urged to drive this agenda forward.
