Ekiti Queens Football Club has resumed preparations for the decisive second stanza of the Nigeria Women Football League, vowing to approach the remainder of the season with renewed determination.

Speaking after the team’s first official training session of the year at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti, Head Coach Jacob Vandy stated that the players returned in good physical and mental condition, ready to build on the lessons learned from a challenging first half of the season.

Despite facing setbacks in 2025, including the relocation of their home matches to Abeokuta following a crowd disturbance during a fixture against Edo Queens, Coach Vandy emphasized that the team’s ambition remains undiminished.

“The experiences from the first half have strengthened our resolve,” Vandy noted, adding that the temporary displacement would not derail the squad’s objectives.

The club, also known as the Baoress Babes, is scheduled to face Naija Ratels on January 7 in their fourth league match of the campaign. The team has called on its supporters to remain steadfast and continue their backing as they push for improved results in the coming months.
