Osimhen Confident Super Eagles Can Overcome Morocco in AFCON Semi-Final

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has acknowledged the challenge ahead but expressed strong belief in his team’s ability to succeed as they prepare to face host nation Morocco in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-final.

Speaking after Nigeria’s 2-0 quarter-final victory over Algeria on Saturday, the Napoli forward cautioned against complacency. “Hopefully, one game at a time. It is not going to be easy for us, but I believe in this squad, and I believe in the players,” Osimhen stated.

The in-form attacker has already scored three goals in the tournament and will aim to extend his tally in Wednesday’s crucial match.

In a video message posted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Osimhen also thanked fans for their support and pledged to fight for the title.

“To the Super Eagles fans, thank you so much for your support worldwide. This victory was not easy… We’ll continue to build on this momentum, and hopefully, we’ll get to the final and win it,” he promised.
