The university formally approved his entry into the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme in Common Law and Sharia in an official letter dated January 12, 2026. The communication was signed by Jafaru Muhammad, Head of the Directorate of Examinations, Admissions and Records, on behalf of the institution’s Registrar.

According to the letter, which was shared online on Thursday, the admission was granted following a personal application from Dr. Sanusi. The university stated that he satisfied its specific requirements for special consideration.

The admission places the former monarch directly into Level 200 of the Faculty of Law, effective from the 2024/2025 academic session.

“With reference to your application for special admission… I write to convey the University approval of your admission… after satisfying the University requirements for special consideration,” the letter stated.

He has been requested to complete his registration by reporting to key administrative units, including the Bursary Department, the University Library, and the Faculty of Law.
