Tony Elumelu Celebrates Niece Chinyenmugo at Fashion Line Debut

The founder of United Bank for Africa, Tony Elumelu, and his wife, Awele, joined other notable guests at the unveiling of the fashion label Mugomugo Official in Lagos on Saturday.

The launch, held at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, showcased the brand’s debut 2026 collection, titled “Oasis of Dreams,” sponsored by Redtech. The event featured sleek black-and-white designs and bold silhouettes that highlighted the creative direction of founder Chinyenmugo Obiekwugo-Charles.

In a heartfelt address, Chinyenmugo thanked her family, particularly her uncle Tony Elumelu and her mother Agatha Elumelu-Obiekwugo, for their support. “I thank God for bringing my dream to life, as well as my uncle and his family,” she said, receiving applause from attendees.

Following the event, Elumelu celebrated the launch on social media, writing, “Congratulations to my super talented niece, Chinyenmugo, on the launch of her fashion brand. Proud uncle.”
