Billionaire Industrialist Razaq Okoya Marks 86th Birthday with Medical Outreach

Business magnate and philanthropist Razaq Okoya chose service over spectacle for his 86th birthday, launching an eight-day free medical outreach in Lagos as his primary celebration.

The Aare of Lagos and Chairman of the Eleganza Group hosted the “Okoya @ 86 Medical Outreach” at his Oluwanisola Estate from January 5 to 12, providing health screenings, consultations, and medication to over 1,000 residents of Ajah and neighboring communities. Okoya described the initiative as a “token of appreciation” to God and the community.

A modest celebration was held on the final day, attended by family, including his wife Shade, and prominent guests such as Lagos State First Lady Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, media mogul Dele Momodu, and the Iyalode of Lagos, Chief Fatima Tinubu.

The event featured music, goodwill messages praising Okoya’s humility and generosity, and a cake-cutting ceremony. In a special moment, his daughter Olamide, who shares his birthday, was publicly honored.

Okoya’s approach underscored his longstanding commitment to giving back, blending a personal milestone with significant community impact.
