Borno: Boko Haram kills pastor, four others

An Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa a Nigeria pastor, Musa Umoru, and four residents of Tarfa Village in Hawul Local Government Area of Borno State have been killed by suspected Boko Haram terrorists.

The terrorists it was gathered struck the community around 7pm on Thursday, displacing residents and firing sporadically before setting buildings ablaze.

The attackers reportedly stormed the community on motorbikes and operated for over one hour.

Confirming the incident on Friday, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Borno State chapter, Rev. John Bakeni, said residents of the village fled after the attack.

“Truly, there was an attack yesterday (Thursday) evening in a village called Tarfa. I was just informed that five people were killed, including the EYN pastor there. The entire village was burnt down.”
