inDrive Maintains Position as World’s Second-Most Downloaded Ride-Hailing App vs
Global mobility platform inDrive has secured its ranking as the world’s second-most downloaded ride-hailing application for the fourth consecutive year, according to a new report by market intelligence firm Sensor Tower.
The company also rose to fourth place globally in overall travel app downloads, up from fifth in 2023. The inDrive app, which operates on a peer-to-peer pricing model that allows drivers and passengers to negotiate fares, has now been downloaded over 400 million times. It is currently available in 1,065 cities worldwide and has facilitated more than 8 billion transactions.
In 2025, inDrive accelerated its transformation into a broader “super app,” expanding its services beyond ride-hailing to include intercity travel, courier and grocery delivery, and financial services. This diversification strategy aims to meet more daily needs of its users and is credited with driving deeper engagement on the platform.
The Sensor Tower report highlighted the app’s leading position in nine countries, including Peru and Pakistan, where it ranked first in travel downloads. It placed among the top three travel apps in 22 countries.
Technology plays a central role in this expansion. The company utilizes AI and machine learning to improve mapping, provide accurate arrival estimates, and anticipate user needs, while maintaining its core feature of user-controlled pricing.
Commenting on the achievement, inDrive Founder and CEO Arsen Tomsky stated, “This recognition reflects the trust people place in our platform and the continued dedication of our global team. As inDrive evolves into a super app, we remain focused on our core principles of fairness, transparency, and user choice.”
The ranking reinforces inDrive’s strong growth across emerging markets, including significant adoption in Africa and continued expansion in Nigeria.
