NELFUND Disburses ₦31.3 Million to Kaduna College for Student Fees
The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed ₦31,335,500.00 to the Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan-Waya, to cover institutional fees for students in the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to a statement from NELFUND on Wednesday, the funds will benefit 479 students who are part of the first batch of loan recipients for the session.
The college confirmed the receipt of the payment in an official acknowledgement letter, stating that the disbursement was made on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
The letter, signed by the Acting Director of ICT, Nyalla Gajere, indicated that the amount represents the institutional fees component of the loan for the beneficiaries.
Issued on behalf of the college’s management, staff, and students, the letter expressed appreciation to NELFUND’s Managing Director and staff for what it described as their dedicated efforts in ensuring the successful rollout of the programme.
The institution also conveyed its gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for the initiative, which it described as a humanitarian intervention, while expressing hope for the continued sustainability of the scheme.
The disbursement is part of the Federal Government’s student loan scheme, which provides financial support to eligible students in tertiary institutions across the country.
The development follows a recent announcement by NELFUND regarding the disbursement of ₦392,876,550 to Delta State University, Abraka, to cover institutional fees for 1,854 students.
