VIDEO: Asake Struggles to Touch Black Stone Amid Massive Crowd in Mecca

Afrobeats star Asake was seen in a viral video struggling to get close enough to touch the Black Stone during his pilgrimage in Mecca.

In the clip, the singer, whose real name is Ololade Ahmed, was lifted by those around him in an attempt to reach the sacred stone embedded in the Kaaba. The effort proved difficult due to the massive crowd of pilgrims gathered at the Grand Mosque, with thousands of worshippers also trying to get close to the holy site.

The video showed the music star surrounded by worshippers performing prayers and religious rites. He was dressed in a white robe similar to those worn by many pilgrims visiting the holy sites.

Asake is currently in Mecca, one of Islam’s holiest cities, where thousands of Muslims gather during the sacred month of Ramadan for prayers and spiritual reflection.

Earlier, the Afrobeats star shared a clip on his social media page showing himself offering prayers at Raudhatul Jannah, one of the most revered prayer spots in Islam located inside Masjid an-Nabawi.
