Uzodimma Inaugurates Ondo Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Urges Support for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election

Imo State Governor and Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Senator Hope Uzodimma, inaugurated the Ondo State chapter of the group on Tuesday and charged members to work for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Uzodimma argued that Tinubu deserved a second term based on ongoing developmental projects initiated since 2023, including road construction, student loan schemes, and hospital rehabilitation across the country.

He was represented at the event by the Southwest Coordinator of the group and Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority, Dayo Adeyeye. The governor noted that the administration had recorded notable progress in key sectors, adding that the expansion of road infrastructure was improving connectivity, boosting economic activity, and easing longstanding transportation challenges.

He also highlighted the student loan scheme as a major achievement, stating that it was widening access to higher education and reducing financial barriers for Nigerian youths.

Uzodimma urged newly appointed local government ambassadors to intensify grassroots mobilisation and ensure coordinated support for the President’s second-term ambition.

Responding on behalf of other coordinators, the Ondo State Coordinator, Victor Olabimtan, said the initiative would serve as a civic enlightenment platform to promote government programmes and counter misinformation. He explained that the group would operate through a structured network across wards and polling units, with over 400 canvassers and 25 local units already deployed.

Olabimtan highlighted key achievements of the Tinubu administration, including infrastructure expansion, improved passport processing, and growing investor confidence. He acknowledged that challenges remained but insisted that reforms were already producing visible results.

He added that the initiative would go beyond mobilisation to include town halls, market outreach, and community engagement, with the goal of one message and one coordinated mobilisation.

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, described members of the group as frontline drivers of the Renewed Hope agenda. He cited ongoing infrastructure projects, including the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, as part of efforts to drive long-term economic growth and investor confidence.
