Sen. Ayo Arise Debunks Defection Claims, Backs APC in Ekiti Election

It has come to my attention that some people have been spreading rumour that I have instructed my supporters to vote against my party, the APC.

I wish to state categorically that I remain a member of the APC. The issues surrounding the last primary election in Ekiti North Senatorial District, in which I was an aspirant, are being addressed by the national leadership of our party.

I have also filed a suit at the Federal High Court in Abuja with credible evidence, in case justice is delayed by the party leadership due to the actions of one or two executive members who may be biased.

As a political and community leader in Ekiti State and Nigeria, I maintain cordial and personal relationships with many indigenes of the state, including some aspirants that have had meetings with me. Some of these aspirants have been members of our party in the past some are my family friends of over three decades. This should not be misconstrued as working for any aspirant against my party.

I therefore urge all my supporters to remain calm and committed to the APC. I hold the national leader of our great party, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and other leaders, friends, political associates and well-wishers in high regard. Many of them have reached out to me for the success of the APC at the poll and I have pledged my commitment to the success of BAO at the polls.

I appreciate all my supporters who stood by me before, during and after the primaries. I assure you that our mandate will be retrieved, and your hearts shall be gladdened.
