Portable and Charles Okocha Set for Celebrity Boxing Rematch in Lagos

Nollywood actor Charles Okocha and street-pop musician Portable are scheduled to face off Friday evening in a highly publicized boxing rematch at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The bout, tagged “Unfinished Business,” comes after Okocha triggered a rematch clause following his controversial loss to Portable in their initial encounter. Speaking ahead of the contest, Okocha expressed confidence, stating he was fully prepared to settle the score in the ring. Portable responded in typical dramatic fashion, dismissing Okocha’s claims and promising another victory.

Event promoter Dr. Ezekiel Adamu disclosed that the fight card would also feature an influencer match between musicians Mr. Real and Idowest, alongside professional boxing bouts including a contest between Yusuf Adeniji and Rilwan Lawal. Winners of the main celebrity exhibition matches are set to receive brand-new electric vehicles provided by event sponsors.
