Osun Governorship Poll: Ejigbo Youths Declare Support for APC Candidate Oyebamiji
Youth stakeholders across the 11 wards of Ejigbo Local Government Area in Osun State have thrown their weight behind the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, ahead of the upcoming August 15 election.
During a sensitization walk through the major streets of Ejigbo, the leader of the group, Miftau Adebowale, urged the electorate to focus on substantive issues and development rather than emotional rhetoric. He emphasized that the council area requires improved infrastructure, agricultural backing, youth employment opportunities, and effective governance.
Highlighting the candidate’s administrative background, Adebowale pointed to Oyebamiji’s previous tenure as the state’s Commissioner for Finance, where internally generated revenue saw significant growth. He also noted his experience as the former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland Waterways Authority, citing his established track record in fiscal management and public administration.
The youth coalition called on local residents, students, market leaders, and artisans to align behind a leadership track record geared toward sustainable progress. A total of 14 political parties have been cleared by the Independent National Electoral Commission to participate in the upcoming state election.
