MTN Nigeria Alerts Customers Against Fraudulent 25GB Data Giveaway Scams

MTN Nigeria has issued a fraud advisory to its customers regarding unauthorized online links and fraudulent offers promising a free 25GB data bundle as part of the telecommunications company’s 25th-anniversary celebration.

The service provider urged subscribers to avoid clicking suspicious web links, providing personal data, or making payments on third-party platforms claiming to host the promotion. Official representatives emphasized that legitimate promotional claims can only be accessed through the official MyMTN NG mobile app or the MTN eShop portal.

Eligible customers were advised to verify claims through direct SMS notifications sent by the network operator or by navigating directly to the banner prompts within authorized digital channels. MTN confirmed that valid promotional data packages will remain active until the designated expiration time specified in official communications.
