Tottenham Complete £75m Move for Savinho from Manchester City
Tottenham Hotspur have strengthened their squad with the signing of Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City in a deal worth an initial £75 million.
The 22-year-old joins the North London club as part of an ambitious recruitment drive aimed at improving the team’s fortunes after a difficult Premier League campaign last season. The transfer pushes Tottenham’s spending during the current transfer window beyond the £300 million mark.
Savinho arrives after two seasons at Manchester City, where he struggled to secure a regular place in the starting lineup. Despite showing flashes of his talent, the winger was unable to establish himself as a key figure in the squad.
Speaking after completing the move, Savinho expressed his excitement about the new challenge and his desire to develop further under Tottenham’s coaching setup. He said discussions with the club’s manager played a major role in convincing him to make the switch.
Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi welcomed the arrival of the Brazilian, describing him as an attacking player capable of bringing creativity, pace and unpredictability to the team. He added that the club is eager to help the winger continue his development and contribute to the team’s ambitions.
Savinho joins a number of new arrivals at Tottenham this summer as the club continues its squad rebuild. The winger is expected to provide additional options in wide attacking areas and strengthen the team’s offensive threat.
Before moving to England, Savinho gained recognition through impressive performances elsewhere in Europe, earning a reputation as one of Brazil’s promising young talents. Tottenham will now hope he can rediscover that form and make an immediate impact in the Premier League.
