Gov Sule Commissions 5.2km Akwanga Bypass, 1km Township Road

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has commissioned a 5.2-kilometre bypass in Akwanga Local Government Area, linking Jos Road through Mada Hills and Ntsakpe to the Keffi Road bypass.

The project, known as the Abuja-Akwanga-Jos Bypass, was named Damishi Luka Bypass in honour of the late former Deputy Governor of the state.

Governor Sule also commissioned a 1-kilometre township road in Akwanga, named Rev. Waya Avenue / Ezekiel Maichibi Street, to improve road infrastructure in the area.

The projects were executed by Hon. Safiyanu Isa Andaha, Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and Chairman of Akwanga Local Government.

The commissioning ceremonies were held on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
