Planned Protests Will Disrupt Security Operations, NOA Tells Kebbi Residents

The National Orientation Agency, NOA, in Kebbi State has urged residents to shelve planned protests over insecurity, warning that demonstrations could disrupt security operations.

State Director of agency, Nasiru Muhammed Karofi, made appeal in statement issued to journalists in Birnin Kebbi.

Karofi said protests could distract security agencies from their operations and worsen security situation.

He also warned residents against circulating unverified reports capable of causing panic in communities, saying such information could benefit bandits.

Karofi urged residents to support security agencies and called on traditional rulers, religious leaders, community heads and youth organisations to promote peace and vigilance.

He expressed condolences to families who lost loved ones to insecurity.
