Naira Scarcity: Buhari To Address Nigerians By 7 a.m

President Muhammadu Buhari will make a national broadcast on Thursday, February 16, at 7 am.

This was revealed Wednesday night by presidential spokesperson Femi Adesina in a statement.

He said television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast.

This broadcast is coming at the heat of the old naira deadline crisis.

Some state governors have dragged the federal government to the Supreme Court seeking extension of the deadline.

The had adjourned further hearing on the case to February 10, 2023.

The apex court had earlier granted an exparte order suspending the February 10 deadline for the old naira. However, the CBN didn’t comply with the order.
