Obi Takes Delta

The Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, has defeated his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival Atiku Abubakar, in the presidential election in Delta State.

The state’s returning officer, Prof. Owunari Abraham Georgewill, who declared the results at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Asaba, said Obi scored a total of 341,866 to beat Atiku, with 161,600 votes, leaving a margin of 180,266 votes.

Incumbent Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is the running mate of Atiku in the election.
