Abia Govt Expend N2b Palliative On Transportation

The Abia State government has announced  that it would spend the 2 billion naira it received from the Federal government on transportation.

This disclosure was made by Okey Kanu, Commissioner for information and culture while addressing journalists on Tuesday.

He stated that the policy was aimed at reducing the harsh impact of petrol subsidy removal on Abians.

He stated that a convenient travel system would be created for Abians to move within the State, adding that further details about the planned utilization would be made known soon.

He announced that the State has successfully distributed the bags of rice given to it by the Federal government to various political wards in the State.

The Commissioner announced that Abia State government would also come out with its own palliative program, apart from the ones given by the Federal government.
