2026 W/Cup finals: Super Eagles qualify for continental play offs

Nigeria have qualified for the playoff round of the African qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals.

Beating Benin Republic 4-0 in Uyo on Tuesday meant that the Super Eagles are now third on the mini-league to determine the best four losers to feature in the intercontinental playoffs.

In the log for the best loser, Gabon, who still have a game in hand tonight, are on top, followed by Cameroon and Nigeria, while Burkina Faso are fourth.
