The Agwom Izeren, Isaac Wakili, who was kidnapped by gunmen in the early hours of Friday has been freed.
Locals of the Shere community in the Jos East Local Government Area where the first class monarch was kidnapped said he was rescued a few hours after his abduction.
One of the residents, Philip Izam, said the monarch has been taken to the hospital for treatment.
Izam said, “You know our traditional ruler was kidnapped by gunmen at his palace in the early hours of Friday but he has just been released. He was released a few hours after his abduction with the help of security men. He is not at his palace at the moment because they took him to the hospital for examination considering what he went through at the hands of his abductors.”

The PPRO said, “An investigation is still in progress please.”
Gunmen abducted the monarch around 1.30 am when they stormed his palace in Shere community, Jos East LGA of the state.
