Aborted Twins Found Dumped at Refuse Site in Plateau Community

Residents of Special Site in Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State have condemned the discovery of aborted twins dumped in a polythene bag at a refuse dump.

The remains of the male and female foetuses, estimated to be about five months old, were found on Wednesday behind the residence of a commercial driver, Enman Danladi.

An eyewitness said a farmer made the discovery after noticing a dog sniffing the bag, which had flies hovering around it. The farmer alerted Danladi, who then gathered neighbours to the scene. The remains were later buried at the site.

The incident sparked emotional reactions from residents, with many describing the act as inhuman and contrary to the community’s values. Some women were seen weeping, while others called for curses on those responsible.

Residents have urged the authorities to launch a thorough investigation to identify the perpetrators and prevent a recurrence.

Efforts to reach the police command for comment on Thursday were unsuccessful.
