Adamawa Police Ban Power Bike Racing Over Safety Concerns

The Adamawa State Police Command has announced a strict ban on all forms of power bike and illegal vehicle racing on public roads, citing a concerning rise in fatal accidents.

Commissioner of Police Dankombo Morris attributed the crashes to reckless driving, speeding, and dangerous overtaking. The command has directed its traffic divisions and all operational units to intensify patrols and enforcement across highways and urban areas.

The police warned that anyone caught participating in or organizing such races will be arrested and prosecuted. The public, including parents and transport unions, is urged to report violations and caution drivers against behavior that endangers lives.
