Adeleke Hails Aregbesola at 69, Acknowledges Impact on Osun

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has congratulated former Governor Rauf Aregbesola on his 69th birthday, praising his contributions to the state’s development and describing him as a courageous and visionary leader.

In a statement issued on Monday by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke said Aregbesola’s decades of public service, spanning grassroots mobilisation, youth empowerment, and infrastructure delivery, have earned him respect across the country.

“Today, I celebrate my dear Egbon, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, as he marks his 69th birthday. He is a man of conviction, vision, and uncommon energy, whose passion for service and commitment to societal advancement have earned him recognition and respect across Nigeria,” the governor stated.

Adeleke noted that political differences do not diminish the former governor’s lasting imprint on Osun State. He stressed that Aregbesola’s role in the democratic and physical transformation of the state would remain a part of its history.

He further described the former interior minister’s leadership style as bold and development-oriented, adding that his influence on modern Osun is widely acknowledged.
