Akande-Sadipe Wins Oyo House Of Reps Seat For Second Term

The only female House of Representatives member from Oyo State, Tolulope Akande-Sadipe has been declared the winner of the Oluyole federal constituency election.

Akande-Sadipe who won the second term election in office, contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Akande-Sadipe of APC at the end of the supplementary election, polled at a total of 14,891 votes to defeat her closest rival, Mogbonjubola Olawale Mojeed of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 13,073 votes.

In a statement signed by Olamilekan Olusada, her SA Media and Publicity, Akande-Sadipe said she will ensure more gains of democracy are brought to the federal constituency.

“This victory looked like such an impossible task, especially after what happened during the first election, and then my mother died. I could not see my mother, because I was trying to protect my mandate.

“As I have been re-elected to serve you at Abuja, I will put in my very best to push our cause before the house to ensure that the dividends of democracy and opportunities available to my office reach my constituency
