AKINLAYO VISITS EDA-ONIYO, MADE PROMISES TO BOOST COMMUNITY SECURITY AFTER ATTACK.

In a show of leadership and compassion, the Member representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency II, Hon. Kolawole Davidson Akinlayo, paid a condolence visit to the Kabiyesi of Eda-Oniyo following the recent devastating incident that rocked the community.

During the visit, Hon. Akinlayo emphasized the urgent need to strengthen local security intelligence through the active engagement of community-based vigilante groups. He stressed that grassroots security collaboration remains a critical tool in preventing future occurrences and safeguarding lives and property.

The lawmaker also inquired about the condition and current status of those who were kidnapped during the unfortunate incident, expressing deep concern for their safety and wellbeing.

As part of his immediate intervention, Hon. Akinlayo pledged to construct a police station in Eda-Oniyo to reinforce the security architecture of the community. However, he was informed by the Secretary of the Local Government that construction of a police facility was already ongoing.

Subsequently, the federal lawmaker visited the site to personally assess the level of work done. After inspection, he assured the community of his commitment to take over and ensure the timely completion of the project.

In his remarks, Chief Daramola Bankole, the Agbana of Eda-Oniyo and second-in-command to the Kabiyesi, commended Hon. Akinlayo for his continuous support and impactful contributions to the development and security of the community. He offered prayers for greater strength and success in the lawmaker’s service to the people.

Hon. Akinlayo also extended his visit to the families of the victims, where he expressed heartfelt sympathy and solidarity during this difficult time.

In appreciation, the Kabiyesi of Eda-Oniyo thanked the lawmaker for his swift intervention and consistent support for the community, offering prayers for his continued protection and success.

The visit further cemented Hon. Akinlayo’s staunch commitment to the safety, welfare, and development of his constituents.
