AMVCA 2023: Patience Ozokwor Bags Industry Merit Award
Veteran nollywood thespian, Patience Ozokwor popularly known as Mama G was on Saturday awarded the Industry Merit Award category of the 2023 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA9).
The awards which held in Lagos celebrated outstanding talents in the film and television industry across Africa.
The AMVCA on its Twitter handle says Ozokwor’s exceptional talent and contributions to the entertainment industry have shaped the landscape of African cinema.
Born in born 14 September 1958, in present day Enugu State, she started off as an announcer and broadcaster on Radio Nigeria before delving into the world of film making.
She rose to fame from her role in the 1999 movie titled “Authority” and has acted in 100 of movies.
