Anambra CP Meets Officers, Visits Family Of Slain Security Advocate, Isaac Nwosu

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, psc, mnips, has held a 2-hour closed-door strategic meeting with the Command’s operational and strategic officers to reassess public information and strengthen security operations in the state.

The meeting held on Sunday, August 31, 2026, focused on sustaining the fight against violent crime, especially within Awka and other parts of the state.

After the meeting, the CP paid a condolence visit to the family of late Isaac Nwosu, who was killed in a recent security incident in Awka.

The CP described the deceased, popularly known as “Azia”, as an asset to the state, noting that he would be greatly missed by the family, the state, and the Anambra State Police Command, particularly for his contributions during the Command’s security advocacy and other community engagements.

To this end, CP Ama directed relevant operational and investigative units to intensify efforts toward identifying and apprehending the perpetrators.

He reassured the family and residents of Anambra State that the Command would pursue the matter with determination, and urged Ndi Anambra to continue believing in the integrity of the Force and the investigative process.
