Applications Open for 46th Miss Nigeria Pageant Ahead of Nationwide Audition Tour

The Miss Nigeria Organisation has officially declared applications open for the 46th Miss Nigeria pageant. The announcement was made via social media by the organisation’s Chairman, Nollywood actress Rita Dominic, alongside the reigning 45th Miss Nigeria, Doris Ogah.

As part of the selection process for the new beauty queen, the organization announced the upcoming **Miss Nigeria Travelogue**, a nationwide tour taking the team to major cities for live auditions. Interested candidates must complete an online application form and upload mandatory supporting documentation prior to physical screening.

Eligibility Criteria

According to official application guidelines, prospective candidates must meet the following baseline requirements to be considered:

Age & Citizenship: Must be a Nigerian citizen between 22 and 28 years old.

Marital & Parental Status: Applicants must not be married, pregnant, or mothers.

Personal Profile: Candidates must be in good health and character, possess fluent written and spoken English skills, and have no tattoos or body piercings.

Application Requirements & Submission Guidelines

To submit a valid application, candidates are required to upload specific personal details, identification documents, media files, and an essay:

Personal Information & Brief Essay: Applicants must submit basic background details including state of origin, education, and occupation along with a 300-word essay outlining their background, aspirations, and unique experiences formatted as a PDF.

Official Documents: Submissions require valid identification (National ID, Driver’s Licence, Voter’s Card, or Passport), a birth certificate, and a State/LGA Certificate of Origin.

Verification Photographs: Candidates must provide one headshot and one full-length photo taken against a plain grey background. The required attire is a white top or tank top, blue jeans, and heels, with a preferred fresh face (no make-up).

Audition Video: A 2-to-3 minute introductory video (under 100MB) must be submitted. The video must feature a brief self-introduction, reasons for wanting to become the next Miss Nigeria, and a full-body catwalk towards and away from the camera in a well-lit space against a contrasting background.

The organisation emphasized that submitting an application does not guarantee an invitation to live auditions. Dates and locations for the nationwide Travelogue tour will be announced across official channels, where candidates can track selection progress.
