Arokodare Nets Goal as Arsenal Edges Wolves 2-1.

Arsenal narrowly avoided a major upset against Wolverhampton Wanderers, securing a 2-1 win thanks to two own goals, including one in stoppage time. Mikel Arteta’s team dominated possession but struggled to break down Wolves’ defense in the first half, failing to register a single shot on target.

The Gunners’ fortunes changed after Arteta’s substitutions, with Leandro Trossard, Martin Odegaard, and Mikel Merino coming on to inject some pace and creativity. Declan Rice’s shot midway through the second half was their first on target, but Sam Johnstone made a great save.

The breakthrough finally came in the 70th minute when Johnstone inadvertently scored an own goal, flicking Bukayo Saka’s corner onto the post and into the net. Wolves equalized through Tolu Arokodare in the 90th minute, but Arsenal snatched the win in the 94th minute when Yerson Mosquera scored an own goal under pressure from Gabriel Jesus .

The win moves Arsenal five points clear of Manchester City, who are second in the Premier League table. Arsenal’s victory was marked by some nervy moments, but they ultimately deserved the three points given their dominance in the second half.
