Atiku’s Top North-East Campaigner, Jamilu Gwamna joins APC

A top campaigner of North East zone of Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Jamil Isyaku Gwamna has joined the All Progressives Congress with thousands of his supporters.
Gwamna had contested the Gombe governorship primary in the PDP, but lost to current candidate of the Party Muhammad Barde.
While campaigning for Atiku Abubakar, Gwamna recently donated campaign office for the realisation of Atiku’s mandate.
Gwamna attributed internal crisis, poor leadership, disunity and disregard for rule of law within the party as reasons for quitting the PDP.
He accused the leadership of the PDP in the state of poor management which led to the emergence of factions within the party.
Gwamna said his political ideology is anchored on unity, inclusiveness, fairness and justice and “if those are not found in the party then there is no reason to be in that camp.”
Gwamna said that the PDP has failed to manage Gombe State because of the the personal interest of the leaders against collective interest.
“In politics, internal democracy is very key and if you cannot find that playing out, then practising democracy on a larger platform such as governing the state becomes a big issue,” he said
Gwamna said that the APC is more organised in Gombe State than any political party and has managed its affairs in a more family-like manner.
He told his supporters to mobilise grassroots support across the state to ensure that APC retains the state with a better voting margin than that of 2019.
