Bandits Kill One, Abduct Several Including Pregnant Woman in Southern Kaduna

Bandits in large numbers attacked a community in Southern Kaduna on Wednesday night, killing one resident and abducting several others, including children and a pregnant woman.
The incident occurred in Zuturung Tintaah village, located in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, according to a family source.
“A kidnapping incident occurred at Mr. Sunday Stephen Michael’s residence,” the family member said. “The kidnappers raided the house, killing 48-year-old Mr. Yashim Raphael, a neighbour. About 10 people, including women, children, men, and a pregnant woman, were abducted.”
Kaduna State, particularly the southern region, has recently witnessed a surge in deadly attacks.
On Sunday, bandits attacked a wedding ceremony in Kukyer and Kahir villages in Kagarko Local Government Area, killing at least 13 people and kidnapping 28 others.
A community member, Ms. Mafiana Yakubu, said the bandits stormed the celebration and opened fire indiscriminately on guests.
Another resident, David Yakubu, who compiled the names of the victims, called for urgent intervention by security agencies to prevent further bloodshed in the area.
