Christmas in Kogi: Police Vow safe Christmas celebration

The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Naziru Kankarofi, has extended warm Christmas greetings to residents, wishing them a peaceful, joyous, and hitch-free festive season. In a statement issued by command spokesman, CSP William Aya, CP Kankarofi assured the public of adequate security measures across the state.
The police command has deployed personnel from various units, including the Police Mobile Force (PMF), Motor Traffic Department, Safer Highway Patrol, and tactical formations, to maintain law and order. Enhanced patrols, intelligence-led operations, and visibility policing will be implemented, with officers strategically positioned at worship centers, recreational areas, major highways, markets, and public places.
CP Kankarofi charged officers to conduct themselves professionally, remain courteous, and be firm but civil. Residents are urged to be law-abiding and vigilant, reporting suspicious activities to law enforcement. The command emphasizes collaboration in protecting places of worship and community vigilance.
