DSS Arrests Emefiele In Lagos

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested the suspended Central Bank governor Godwin Emefiele.
The embattled ex-central banker was arrested on Saturday in Lagos.
He was flown to Abuja in a private jet.
Emefiele was suspended by President Tinubu on Friday night.
His arrest was confirmed by the secret service via its official Twitter handle on Saturday.
The DSS later released a statement signed by its spokesperson, Peter Afunnaya.
EMEFIELE, NOW IN DSS CUSTODY
“The Department of State Services (DSS) hereby confirms that Mr Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is now in its custody for some investigative reasons.
“The public, particularly the Media, is enjoined to apply utmost caution in the reportage and narratives concerning this.”
