DSS Arrests Suspended EFCC Boss
The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested the suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa.
Mr Bawa was arrested hours after he was suspended by President Bola Tinubu over “weighty allegations.”
The suspended anti-graft chief arrived the headquarters of DSS at about 9:02pm.
DSS spokesperson Peter Afunanya has confirmed Mr Bawa’s presence in a statement Wednesday evening.
The statement said, “The Department of State Services (DSS) has invited Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
“Bawa arrived a few hours ago. The invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him.”
