Easter: Rivers Police Deploy Personnel to Churches, Parks, Highways

The Rivers State Police Command says it has deployed officers to churches, recreational centres, major parks, highways, and other vulnerable points across the state to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Easter celebration.

In a statement issued on Saturday in Port Harcourt, the Command’s spokesperson, Chief Superintendent of Police Grace Iringe-Koko, said tactical teams and police divisions have been fully mobilised to prevent criminal activity and respond swiftly to any security threats.

The Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, assured residents and visitors of the Command’s steadfast commitment to the protection of lives and property. He urged the public to remain vigilant, act lawfully, and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information.

Iringe-Koko also advised residents to reach out to the police through dedicated emergency phone numbers available in the public domain for prompt intervention.
