Ebonyi Police Command Loses ACP in Shocking Incident

Ogbon-Inu Taiwo Popoola, the Commissioner of Police (ACP) serving in Ebonyi State, has died after reportedly slumping during a management meeting at the command headquarters in Abakaliki.
According to sources, the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. in the Commissioner’s office, where Popoola was rushed to the police clinic after experiencing breathing difficulties and gasping for air. Despite medical attention, he was pronounced dead.
State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Joshua Ukandu, confirmed the incident, describing it as a “tragic loss” for the command. “The late ACP Popoola was a dedicated officer who served the Force with commitment and professionalism,” Ukandu said.
His body has been taken to the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital (AE-FUTHA) mortuary in Abakaliki for further procedures.
