The Governor of Ekiti State recently visited the movie locations of the Ekiti Parapo War film, currently being shot in Ado Ekiti. In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, he expressed his admiration for the production team’s commitment to historical accuracy and scale.
The governor emphasized the importance of preserving Ekiti’s heritage, stating that a people without a properly told history risk losing their identity. He commended the production team, led by Lateef Adedimeji and Bimpe Adedimeji, for their professionalism and creativity in bringing this significant event to life.
Although the project is not sponsored by the Ekiti State Government, the governor expressed his support for initiatives that promote Ekiti’s history and culture. He highlighted the state’s development agenda, which prioritizes art, culture, and tourism as key pillars.
