Ex-US President, Biden diagnosed with aggressive Prostate Cancer

Former U.S. President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has metastasised to his bones, according to a statement from his personal office released on Sunday.

The diagnosis followed a recent medical evaluation after Biden reportedly experienced worsening urinary symptoms.

According to CNN, physicians discovered a prostate nodule, and subsequent tests confirmed the presence of cancer with a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5)—one of the highest indicators of cancer severity.

“This represents a more aggressive form of the disease,” the statement read, adding that the cancer has already spread to the bones.

However, the report offered a degree of optimism, noting that “the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective management.”

Biden and his family are currently consulting with his medical team to determine the most appropriate course of treatment.
