FAAN Disowns Fake Employment Letters, Warns Job Seekers Against Fraudsters

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has distanced itself from a fraudulent recruitment exercise and fake employment letters being circulated by individuals posing as representatives of the agency.
The authority said it had become aware of a purported “Letter of Provisional Offer of Employment” being distributed to unsuspecting members of the public, stressing that the document did not originate from FAAN.
According to the agency, no recruitment exercise is currently underway, and any employment offer linked to the authority outside its official communication channels should be treated as fraudulent.
FAAN warned job seekers to be cautious of scammers seeking to exploit the desire for employment by requesting payments or sensitive personal information under the guise of securing jobs.
The agency urged members of the public to verify all recruitment-related information through its official platforms before responding to any employment offer.
It further emphasised that legitimate vacancies, when available, would be publicly announced through authorised channels, advising Nigerians to remain vigilant to avoid falling victim to fraud and identity theft.
