FCT Minister Nyesom Wike Embarks on Vacation Following Month-Long Project Marathon

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has proceeded on an official break after completing a 30-day intensive program of commissioning new infrastructure, flagging off additional projects, and inspecting ongoing sites across Abuja.

The minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, confirmed the vacation on Monday. Olayinka noted that Wike took time off following an extended period of official engagements dedicated to evaluating key infrastructure developments, particularly those slated for inauguration between December and early next year.

Since assuming office, the former Rivers State governor has prioritized urban expansion, road rehabilitation, and satellite town development within the nation’s capital. The FCT Administration confirmed that work continues on scheduled infrastructure projects during the minister’s absence.
