FCT Police Announce Schedule for Constable Recruitment Screening
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has released details for the physical and credential screening of applicants seeking to join the Nigeria Police Force as General Duty and Specialist Police Constables.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the command’s Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, said the exercise will hold from March 9 to April 18, 2026, at the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Garki II, Abuja.
The screening is part of a nationwide exercise ordered by the Inspector-General of Police following the conclusion of the online application phase. Officers have been deployed to conduct the process across all states and the FCT.
According to the statement, applicants are required to appear on their assigned dates as indicated on their invitation slips. They must come with both original and duplicate copies of the following documents: a medical certificate of fitness from a government-recognised hospital, a certificate of origin signed by the local government chairman or secretary, a National Identity Card or NIN slip, O’ Level results, a birth certificate or declaration of age, a printout of the application form, a completed guarantor’s form, and the invitation slip.
The command assured that the screening would be conducted strictly on merit, with transparency and professionalism. Applicants were urged to adhere to all guidelines to avoid disqualification.
Authorities also warned that the exercise is completely free at all stages. Members of the public are encouraged to report anyone demanding payment or favours in exchange for assistance.
Applicants are advised to verify their documents and schedules through official channels to guard against fraud.
