Flybird Aircraft Makes Unusual Landing at Kano Airport

A Flybird aircraft, registration 5N-ISB, experienced a harrowing moment at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano today, Sunday, December 14, 2025, when it made an unusual landing. The plane, carrying 11 passengers and three crew members, was en route from Abuja when it encountered difficulties during landing at around 9:30 a.m.

Eyewitnesses reported that the aircraft came to a stop on the runway, and passengers were quickly evacuated. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident. Flybird, the airline operating the flight, confirmed that the flight crew followed standard safety procedures, bringing the aircraft to a safe stop.
