Gospel Singer Toluwanisings’ Team Debunks Fundraising Appeal For Wife, Children

The late Nigerian gospel singer Toluwanisings ‘ official Instagram account has disowned a memorial fundraising appeal purportedly created to support his wife and children, urging fans to report the page.

The fundraising post, posted on social media accounts associated with Damitolaoluwa and the foundation, featured an “In Loving Memory” graphic of the singer and asked for donations through a website linked to The Tolaoluwa Foundation.

In response, the singer’s official account said the post was untrue and urged followers to report the page. It also stressed that any genuine fundraising initiative of that nature would be announced through the official Toluwanisings account.

The post reads: “Disclaimer!!! This is not true please. Please let’s report this page massively. If at all something like this will come up it will be from this page. Thank you.”

The disclaimer comes after the singer’s family announced his death on October 14, 2026, describing him as a beloved husband, family member and gospel minister under the Toluwani Gospel Music Ministry.

The family appealed for prayers and support for his wife, children and other loved ones, adding that details of his funeral arrangements would be communicated later. No cause of death was disclosed in the announcement.
